International School Aberdeen
| SMC have recently completed and handed over the new International School in Aberdeen a new build school built on a site on the west side of Aberdeen replacing the existing campus further West. The school caters for pre-school primary and high school pupils and includes an exceptionally high level of accommodation covering all aspects of teaching appropriate for these age groups. The facility also includes a very high level of associated space including drama dance, workshops, theatre, media centre, gymnasium, sports hall, climbing wall and 25m pool. Much of the accommodation is ranged around the two storey main “street” which includes casual social space, café and climbing wall. The campus also includes an existing mansion which has been totally refurbished and upgraded, and a historic tower. In all the accommodation extends to 14,500sqm. The sloping site was engineered to provide these facilities on several different levels while the numerous mature trees were retained and protected throughout the project. |
