Stewart Milne Construction has won £6 million of new commercial contracts. In Perth, the company will refurbish the former Woolworths’ building on the town’s High Street. The development, on behalf of Craigrossie Properties, involves full external and internal works to the existing 1960’s building, with potential for a new façade as well. Meanwhile, in Cumbernauld, the design and build contractor has also secured a deal with road markings specialists, Markon, to build a new industrial unit in the town’s Wardpark Industrial Estate. We will also refurbish three lab areas, which involves new craneage and test facilities, including a rain test area, for a technology client based in Dundee. For Omega Completion Technology, the company will redevelop existing premises at Kirkhill Road and Fortes Road in Dyce involving the demolition of the current offices, plus one bay of the workshop, and the construction of new, two storey offices and a workshop bay. The redevelopment will allow Omega Solutions to increase their scope for recruitment required for the company’s continuing growth. Work has commenced and scheduled for completion in June 2011. At Pitmedden Road, Stewart Milne Construction will build two new industrial/office units for Gilcomston Investments. Offering high quality space in an established area, the project is currently underway and completion is due in May 2011.
